Week-Ends
Every week-end the players will experience the French lifestyle and engage in planned social activities (and/or play soccer matches).
SOCCER
Players will have 2 types of soccer training: a football training program with a local club (Cannes Football Club)
and will train twice a week under the instructions of the club coaches, educators, and technical coordinators and play in the local French Championships (league) according to their skills (if eligible and chosen to play by French club
personnel). FOOTBALL EQUIPMENT PROVIDED
Each player will receive at minimum:
2 football jerseys
2 football pairs of shorts
3 football pairs of socks
1 jogging suit
1 ball I) EduKick France DEFINITION
The year long program aims at allowing all participants:
a) - Football: to acquire a technical, tactical, physical and mental ability to compete at national and international level
b) - School: to follow a regular school curriculum to guarantee professional perspectives for the future (Former French National Team Coach, Mr. Michel Hidalgo, pictured below with EduKick's Joey Bilotta and EduKick France campers)
II) EduKick France - GENERAL INFORMATION
The program is open to all boys and girls aged 13 years old and above for the 2010/11 academic year/season.
The Academic Year-Long University program starts on September 20, 2010 and finishes on May 30, 2011. High School players start September 1, 2010 (an early option of August 20 arrival also available) and finish June 30, 2010. The participants are free for the Christmas holidays (on or around the 22nd of December to the 7th of January) and for the Easter holidays (on or around the 12th to the 28th of April). During those periods, players must return home or find alternative lodging and supervision.
The Academic Half-Year Option begins January 3rd each year until May 30 of that same year (Register now!)

Players must be "competitive" football/soccer players and have a several years
experience playing at club level and in school.
Applicants must be in regular communication with the French Embassy of their
country and
in possession of all documents (passports, visas
) required by the
French
authorities.
All medical tests and "check-up" must have been made before in their
country of
origin. The kids will have in their possession a notebook of vaccination
(up to
date).
They must have contracted a private insurance company to cover any injury
during training
or matches, and any illnesses.
III) EduKick France FOOTBALL PRACTICE
a) The French method
The Hidalgo International Football Academy has the responsibility of the detection
and training
of the best football players of all ages in France.
The year-long program that EduKick and Sport International
Organisation will have its second Academic Year Season in 2010-2011.
b) - Objectives
To train boys in a professional soccer environment over an extended period of time.
To prepare the boys and girls for the Elite Football requirements (interested players must
already have acquired a good standard or level of play).
To optimise the essential aptitudes for high level practice in all
aspects: athletic
(from teenage capacities to junior abilities), high level (from
fundamentals to specialization), tactical control of play (from individual skills to
team game),
competing (from mental resources to the culture of competition), etc.
To prepare them for failure and for success
c) Training sessions
The players train once a day (4 times per week minimum) at the football
academy
2 hours minimum afternoon daily training sessions (twice per week)
Players will also be registered (if eligible) in a local club
and train twice a
week with their French youth club team. Matches on Sundays (if eligible & chosen by local French coach).
Qualified coaches take up the daily football sessions (program to be
determined with the Regional Football League)
Intervention of specialized trainers, coaches, professional active or
former
players, for some specific workshops: goalkeeper, defense, attack, etc
Each player is equipped with a full sports equipment (Name of sponsor
to be
determined)
IV) EduKick France Hidalgo ENVIRONMENT
a) The host structure
All facilities are approved of by national security laws :
accommodation, fields,
gym, changing rooms, TV room, etc.
Rooms of 2 or 3 beds with a shower and washbasin.
Full board at the College.
One main coordinator looks after the EduKick France participants. He is in charge of
all internal
arrangements at the academy, ensure the respect of the daily schedule, discipline
and
behavior, homework, and coordinates with the school and EduKick to ensure that the participants have a healthy life balance while abroad in France. High School participants are lodged with French Host Families and are supervised 24/7.
b) The football club
The boys and the girls will be licensed in a local football club for the
year. They will have trainings and matches in the French championship (league) on the weekends (if eligible & chosen by local coaches). The coaches of the club decide the level of the championship in which the EduKick player will play. During the year the player can be upgraded to a higher level.

V) EduKick France SCHOOL CURRICULUM
a) Studies
The partcipating EduKick youth players will be enrolled at the EduKick France affiliated school, International College of Cannes in
Downtown Cannes, 500m
from the academy.
They will follow an adapted academic curriculum, on the pattern of the
curriculum set up for
the French youth academy.
The school timetable is adapted to harmonize studies and sport
The education material and books are recommended by the school, and are
an
additional expense (players must purchase their own books)
b) - School registration
Student file (offcial school transcripts)are requested by the affiliated French school
The players will be tested (Franch Language Exam) on arrival
The classes they will attend will be determined by the school headmaster
and
teachers.
c) - School diplomas and certificates
Certificate of general education
Certification in foreign language (French)
They can attend the BEPC (national school diploma)
d) Good relationship
The person in charge of the youth will maintain a good level of
communication
with them, listening to each player and understanding them
Personalized assistance (tutoring) with the players when necessary
The boys are under the responsibility of their coordinator
e) General code of conduct
The parents will receive the "rules of code of conduct" and will have to
return it to
us duly signed.
VI) EduKick France - MEDICAL
a) Follow-up
In case of a serious injury during the year, the player will not be
excluded from
the Year long project. He will continue on to the end of the year with
his school
curriculum.
A different decision can be considered according to the parents request.
b) Authorizations
The parents will sign a parental discharge to start the treatment of
their child
after any accident and in case of surgery emergency.
VII) EduKick France - Professional Trials
Players are scouted principally on observation during specific oriented course activities: open
training
sessions, matches or tournaments.
For players who have a high ability of play, pre-engagements (trials) may
be set with
some professional clubs. EduKick Inc., though it's partner, Sport International Organization, will
follow-up and
make arrangements on behalf of the player.
VIII) EduKick France - RIGHT OF IMAGE
EduKick Inc. & Sport International Organization has the exclusive rights of image of
the players
(photos, video, advertising campaign, etc) as long as the player is
in France
