Centers, has added a distance learning version of its Juniper INSG (Implementing NetScreen Security Gateways) course and a new IDP (Intrusion Detection and Prevention) to its roster of training classes. The company also is offering, through its Institute for Certification Achievement, a new JNCIS-level Firewall/VPN (JNCIS-FWV) certification bootcamp.

The distance learning INSG course is web based and will be offered February 20-23. INSG is the first course in the ScreenOS curriculum. This four-day instructor-led course focuses on configuration of the NetScreen Firewall/VPN products in a variety of situations, including basic administrative access, routing, firewall policies and policy options, attack prevention features, address translation, and VPN implementations. More information about the INSG course can be found at http://www.ipath.net/edu/edu_jun_insg.html.

Students attending the INSG/NSM bundle class will receive a free 5GT wireless on completion of the class. This five-day course combines the Introduction to Implementing NetScreen Security Gateways (INSG) and Implementing Netscreen Security Manager courses together in an integrated delivery, at a cost one-third less than the courses taken individually. Bundle classes are offered on the following dates: December 12-16 (Reston VA), January 9-13 (Denver) and 23-27 (Melbourne FL), February 6-10 (Reston), February 27 to March 3 (Charlotte NC), and March 13-17 (Reston) and 27-31 (Pittsburgh). Additional details about the bundle class are available at http://www.ipath.net/edu/edu_ipt_insg-nsm.html.

The JNCIS-FWV certification bootcamp is a highly intensive five-day course that combines material from three classes: Netscreen Advanced VPN Implementation (NAVI); Netscreen Management, Troubleshooting, and Performance Tuning (NMTP); and Integrating Netscreen into High-performance Networks (INHN). The course focuses on advanced configuration, management, and troubleshooting of the NetScreen FW/VPN products. Topics include advanced VPN deployments, management using Syslog and SMNP, troubleshooting address translation and VPNs, bandwidth management using policies, implementation of VSYS-based networks, and configuration of NSRP in multiple operational modes. All students receive a FREE certification exam voucher good for the JNCIS-FWV exam at the conclusion of class. The bootcamp is being offered on the following dates: January 30 to February 3 (San Diego), February 13-17 (Reston), and March 20-24 (Atlanta). For complete details, please visit http://www.ipath.net/edu/edu_ica_jncis_fwv_bootcamp.html.

The 2-day IDP course discusses the configuration of the Netscreen IDP products in a typical network environment. Topics include IDP Sensor and Management Server, IDP Deployment Modes, policy creation, and attack investigation techniques. The course will be offered March 28-29 in Reston.
