The agreement with WakeMed, which operates the only full-service hospital in Cary, will run through the 2009 season of the new Cary USL expansion team. WakeMed Cary Hospital will be the exclusive hospital and health care provider for the Cary expansion team.

"Soccer is a sport that engages youth at all ages - and their families - providing not only healthy activity and exercise but leadership and sportsmanship,” said Laughery. “These qualities help us fulfill our mission of helping build healthy families. It’s a perfect partnership."

TPS’s agreement with the Carolina Back Institute, the premier back, neck and leg care center in central North Carolina, will extend through the team’s 2007 season.

"Soccer has become a vibrant and dynamic part of Triangle athletics," said Christopher Godbout, MD, Medical Director of Carolina Back Institute. “Carolina Back Institute is very excited to be a part of this new endeavor. We look forward to working with these remarkable athletes."

CBI will be the exclusive team physician and sports medicine provider.

“Triangle Professional Soccer is ecstatic to be able to work with great organizations like WakeMed and the Carolina Back Institute,” said Chris Economides, managing partner of TPS. “This agreement will provide excellent medical care and attention for our players to keep them on the field and playing great for the whole season.”
