(PRWEB) February 9, 2006 -- An emotional performance aimed at teens and their parents will take place at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts on February 23rd at 10:00am and 7:00pm as part of Phantom Projects Educational Theatre Group’s “Theatre for Teens” series. No Way to Treat a Lady, a play about teen pregnancy, A.I.D.S., and the physical and emotional consequences of teen promiscuity will be the second production of the 05-06 Season.

The current annual cost to taxpayers in California for births to teen mothers is estimated at $1.5 billion and total costs to society run $3.3 billion. With no new strategies to educate teens about pregnancy, the California Department of Finance (CDF) conservatively projects a 23% increase in annual teen births in California within 5 years.

The 10:00AM performance will play host to hundreds of teens bussed in with their schools while the 7:00PM performance will be open to the general public.
