Pima Medical Institute's Dental Assistant Students Help Community Brush Up On Dental Hygiene

(PRWEB) February 2, 2006 -- Armed with toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss, the Dental Assistant students at Pima Medical Institute, 2201 San Pedro NE, Building 3, Suite 100 in Albuquerque are looking for a few good (and bad) mouths to teach proper brushing and flossing techniques during February, National Children’s Dental Health Month.

“  Our goal is to reach out to even more children this year and take the fear out of going to the dentist.
Teachers, or others who work with children, are encouraged to call PMI at 505-881-1234 to set up an appointment to have the dental assistant students interact with the children while providing useful information on proper oral hygiene.

“Our campus is very involved in the community and teaching children about proper dental hygiene is an example of many projects that are a win/win opportunity,” said Popie White, campus director for the Albuquerque campus. “The children will learn
