Maria Oliveira Language Learning and Consulting is organizing a three-week Portuguese language immersion program for July 2005. Students will attend language classes at Escola Profissional das Velas from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. four days per week. Afternoons and weekends are reserved for sightseeing, tours of the Island of Sao Jorge, visits to Pico, Faial, and Terceira and much more. Students will be able to practice their newly learned skills with local tour guides and residents, most of whom are native Portuguese speakers. Maria Oliveira, your instructor, is a native of Velas, Sao Jorge.
The package price for 22 days in the Azores is just $2,995. It includes round trip flight from Oakland to Terceira, travel insurance (Azores Travel Protection Plan) and taxes, airport transfers, accommodations (double occupancy), classes (16 hours of instruction), class materials (two books and two CDs), three cruises between the four Islands and one inland planned tour of each Island.
