(PRWEB) November 10, 2005 -- HEART/NTA signed a partnership agreement with Birdseye Institute, a technology training institute officially opened in Falmouth, Trelawny last Saturday. The ribbon for the new training institution was cut by Miss Keisha Cowell Office Manager.

Under the partnership HEART will certify Birdseye Institute students trained in information technology. Further, HEART will be working with Birdseye Institute to step up to their standard to certify students on their own.
"We have just signed an agreement with Birdseye Institute where we will be certifying their trainees in information technology at Heart. We will also be assisting Birdseye Institute to reach the standard that they can also certify their own trainees", Maxine Chambers, manager HEART/NTA, Falmouth told the Observer.
She anticipated that the training to be offered by Birdseye would prepare its students for the workforce.
"It is hoped that once these trainees are certified they will take their place in the world of work".
Meanwhile, Oliver Huie, CEO of the information technology institution argued that the establishment of the facility was timely as it would ready persons to fill positions expected to be created from major developments announced for the parish.
"The main reason why we need this institute here in Trelawny are that there will be four major hotels development- and also a stadium within the next year or two and people need to be trained so they can be able to fill these jobs that will be available as a result of these opportunities".
The new facility is situated at 21 Duke Street in Falmouth and will be offering a range of courses from basic computing to advance Microsoft certifications.

, this will offer Trelawny students the opportunity to achieve higher technology training inside of the parish.
Huie, who hails from Trelawny, and is an executive member of the United States-based Friends of Trelawny Association (FOTA), said he plans to open other such institutes in other Parish.
Birdseye Institute is offering a wide range of courses that is designed to meet the needs and particular interests of all students, from first-time users to advanced users.
