about learning directly from renowned pediatrician Mel Levine, M.D. on Thursday, December 1 from 9:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the Connecting Minds Symposium in Durham. Dr. Levine will speak about eight neurodevelopmental constructs that impact learning, identifying learning difficulties without labels, and bringing optimism and hope to the process of addressing children’s individual challenges.
Dr. Levine is Director of the Center for Development and Learning at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is co-founder and co-chair of All Kinds of Minds. He is also the author of the best-seller, A Mind at a Time, as well as The Myth of Laziness and Ready or Not, Here Life Comes.
After Dr. Levine's keynote speech, the rest of the two-day symposium will be devoted to educators who have participated in the Schools Attuned Program, North Carolina. This state-funded initiative has provided All Kinds of Minds’ research-based professional development to 3,000 public school
