Frank Jiogo selected Rachel Wright, an enrichment teacher from Lisby-Hillsdale Elementary School in Aberdeen, MD.

Dr. Nancy S. The By Kids For Kids program encourages and rewards innovation, creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving -- the skills that will prove essential to America's prosperity in an increasingly competitive global economy."

"Maryland's kid inventors hit a home run once again!" enthused Norman Goldstein, Founder and CEO of By Kids for Kids Co. "We are very excited by the caliber of the winning sporting goods inventions, and look forward to working closely with these extraordinary kids to bring their ideas into the marketplace."

The Maryland Challenge was made possible through the generous support of the following sponsors: The Baltimore Orioles, The Baltimore Ravens, The Daily Record, Tessco Technologies, Edison Venture Fund, The United Inventors Association and Whiteford Taylor & Preston LLC.

The "Get Your Head in the Game" Challenge was the latest installment of BKFK's fully integrated educational outreach initiatives launched just for the state of Maryland. The first phase was the statewide launch of the BKFK Inventive Thinking program in September of 2005. The program provided a "Toolkit," designed to assist educators in teaching inventive thinking skills throughout Maryland's school system and is also downloadable free of charge at www.bkfk.com/teachers. Last year, BKFK sponsored the Maryland "Cool School Tools" competition, where four grand prize winners were awarded licensing contracts from the company.

BKFK is presently in talks with other states in America to introduce their "Inventive Thinking" program into the school districts.
